The new attraction, Panorama Vienna, promises to provide a thrilling experience for your clients at the Prater from spring 2023.
It will showcase gigantic art formats in the form of giant, analog, 360-degree panoramas inside a circular structure with a height of 32 meters and a circumference of about 100 meters.
The concept is inspired by the tradition of rotundas in the Prater, particularly the World's Fair rotunda of 1873, the largest of all rotundas, which burned down in 1937, making 2023 a significant year for the revival of this Prater tradition.
Rotundas were round buildings, inside which spectacles for the masses were offered.
In 2023, visitors to Vienna can celebrate the rich history of its gastronomy. Café Landtmann, a renowned coffee house that first opened in 1873, continues to welcome guests from all over the world. Gerstner, the Imperial and Royal Court Confectioner, was also awarded the title of Imperial and Royal Court Purveyor in 1873 after providing catering services at the Vienna World's Fair.
Vienna's high spring water, which has been a part of Viennese hospitality since 1873, will also be celebrated in 2023.
The Vienna Water Festival will be held on June 16, and the opening of the high spring pipeline will take place on October 24, complete with the unveiling of a new anniversary fountain designed by Gelatin, a group of Austrian artists. The fountain will be installed in the Sonnwendviertel, one of Vienna's most important urban development projects of the 3rd millennium.
Your clients can look forward to enjoying the rich culinary and cultural history of Vienna in 2023.
In 2023, Vienna offers a great shopping experience with its famous Viennese handicrafts. Visitors can check out J. & L. Lobmeyr on Kärntner Strasse, which is directly linked to the World's Fair.
From April to July, there will be a small show on the second floor dedicated to Lobmeyr's participation in World's Fairs. Lobmeyr is also celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2023, and from September to December, an exhibition titled "Design" will be displayed.
The jewelers A. E. Köchert Juweliere, who were also part of the World's Fair and relocated to the present location on Neuer Markt in 1873, continue to offer worlds of luxury like in those days.
Just like the bespoke shoemaker Scheer and the silversmiths Jarosinski & Vaugoin, as well as Bösendorfer pianos, all of which exhibited at the World's Fair and still offer their special products in Vienna today.
